There's a lot happening in Lorcana right now: a brand-new set on shelves and a big change coming with the next one.
Hyperia City is out now
Hyperia City, Disney Lorcana's 14th set, released on October 23, 2026 after prereleases on October 16.
- New mechanic, ink drops: a temporary 1-ink resource that leaves the game once you spend it.
- Locations shown at D23 include Land of the Dead – Marigold Bridge and Khan Stadium – State of the Art.
- Products: boosters and booster displays, a Prerelease Box with an exclusive poster and promo, and an Illumineer's Trove with 8 boosters, 6 damage dice and a spin-dial lore counter.
Playing it at events? Check your event's rules first. Community reports suggest legality varies: some events reportedly allow Sets 9–14, while some local qualifiers leave Hyperia City out.
Into the Inkdark: Collector Boosters and serialized cards
Set 15, Into the Inkdark, opened for preorder on October 23 and is scheduled for February 12, 2027. A prerelease date hasn't been officially announced yet.
This is the set where Lorcana adds a new premium tier:
- Collector Boosters: 12-card premium packs that will be part of every set from here on. They'll be limited to Ravensburger Play Hub stores, Ravensburger's online store and select Disney locations.
- Serialized "Illustrious" cards: 6 per set with 23 copies of each, tied to the new Collector Boosters. The first one revealed is Maleficent – Biding Her Time.
The lineup also includes regular boosters, booster displays, an Illumineer's Trove, Prerelease Kits and two playmats (Jack-Jack Parr and Snow White).
Bonus: Beauty and the Beast Curator's Collection
For the film's 35th anniversary, Lorcana released a Curator's Collection on October 16 with six borderless foil promos in a stained-glass style, featuring Be Our Guest, Mrs. Potts, Belle, Lumiere, Gaston and Beast. It's sold only at select Disney locations and DisneyStore.co.uk.
Why it matters
With only 23 copies of each Illustrious card, Into the Inkdark creates Lorcana's first true serialized chase. That's going to change how collectors approach the game.
