The next big English Pokémon TCG release is almost here. Delta Reign, part of the Mega Evolution series, hits shelves on November 6, 2026, and prerelease season is already underway. Here's everything collectors need to know.
Release and prerelease dates
- Prerelease window: October 24 through November 1, 2026 at participating Play! Pokémon stores.
- Build & Battle Boxes: on sale since October 24 for prerelease events. Each box comes with one of four foil promos: Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus or Kommo-o.
- Full release: November 6, 2026.
What's in the set
Delta Reign has 141 cards: 103 in the main set plus 38 secret rares. The headliner is Mega Rayquaza ex, which is going to be the chase card for a lot of collectors this fall.
The set also introduces a new card type called Legendary Stadium cards. These come in two halves that are played together, which makes them a fun pull for players and a nice pair to complete for collectors.
The product lineup
- Booster Box
- Booster Bundle
- Elite Trainer Box, plus a Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box
- Build & Battle Box
- 3-pack and 1-pack blisters
Demand looks strong: Pokémon Center's first wave of preorders for the booster display, ETB and booster bundle sold out, and its preorder page lists the 36-pack display as shipping in early November.
Retailer promos: Kyogre, Groudon and Giratina
Several big retailers are running a promo with Delta Reign. Make a qualifying Pokémon TCG purchase at a participating store and you get one promo card. Each is a cosmos holofoil with a 30th anniversary "What's Your Favorite?" stamp.
- Kyogre: Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, BoxLunch and Macy's
- Groudon: GameStop (EB Games in Canada and Australia)
- Giratina: Best Buy (Toymate and Mr Toys in Australia)
These promo details come from PokeBeach's reporting rather than an official Pokémon announcement, so double check with the retailer before you go.
Why it matters
With a Mega Rayquaza chase and sold-out preorders, expect Delta Reign's launch week to be busy. If you're chasing the Rayquaza or the secret rares, the first few weeks are when the most packs get opened and the most singles hit the market.
