F1 cards just had their biggest moment in years, and football season is bringing a stack of new releases.
The Antonelli SuperFractor
A 2025 Topps Chrome F1 Chrome Autographs SuperFractor of Kimi Antonelli (#CAC-ANT), numbered 1/1 and graded PSA 10, sold for $878,400 on Goldin the week of October 12–18.
- It's the second-highest price ever paid for an F1 card, just $21,600 short of the 2020 Topps Chrome F1 Lewis Hamilton SuperFractor PSA 7 that sold for $900,000 in May 2022.
- It's more than four times the previous Antonelli record of $201,910.
- It was the top sports card sale of the week, ahead of a Tom Brady 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Ticket auto /100, graded PSA 8, at $854,000.
Fall sports card releases
Here's what's next, based on distributor and retailer release calendars. These are estimates, and dates can move:
- Late October: Panini Donruss Football and Topps Five Star Baseball (Oct 28), Upper Deck Stature Hockey (Oct 28), Bowman Football Sapphire (Oct 29) and Bowman University Best Football (Oct 30)
- Topps Flagship Basketball: moved to November 5
- Topps Museum Collection Baseball: moved from October 7 to November 11
- 2026 Topps Chrome Football: estimated November 18 for hobby and retail, with Mega boxes December 2
Topps Chrome Football details
Hobby boxes have 20 packs of 4 cards. The base set is 400 cards, including 100 rookies. It's the second Topps Chrome Football release under the full NFL license, following the first in April 2026. All dates are estimated, so check Topps before you plan around them.
Why it matters
Chrome Football is the big football hobby box of the fall, and a run of football releases lands over the next few weeks. Meanwhile, a sale like the Antonelli 1/1 shows how much heat F1 cards have right now.
